What do you even do?
I have had this issue for years where I realize a lot of my thougths, behavior, etc. make no sense based on current reality, but has it's roots in things like parental child-abuse, bullying, etc. which makes me feel/act different than a 'normal' person would in this same situation.
Even me acting like a truecel on this forum is part of this mental illness. Why do I do this? I am an insane person.
I mean it took a lot of effort but eventually I was able to generate dating-profiles which were getting good-looking girls begging for my attention. (good looking girls is just above-average in this situation, i am not talking about models, just slim young girls who take care of their appearance) Eventually you have to actually date these women and you get into an entirely different struggle. For me it's never been the issue of first-dates, etc. I am just being an act there. The problems for me come later on when I am trying to 'slowly be myself' on a 10th date, something to that extent and then you get rejected and you are wondering what you are even doing and why months of effort have landed you onto this conclusion.
I've tried everything from:
1)Ignoring my emotional disconnection with reality and thinking 'it will just get better over time'. Just pushing through essentially. Ignoring my emotional struggles and trying to act like a normal 'competent' person. Hoping it will get better over time. This is while trying new hobbies, jobs, social-environments, etc. Trust me, I've completely changed my entire lifestyle multiple times now.
2)therapy, has done nothing for me. When I am myself I adjust to my environment and my real self is lost. Therapists noticed this and told me to express what I am feeling/thinking, which I did, and then I was rejected for having 'insane beliefs/emotions' essentially. Which just has me believe that I should just adjust to my environment and hide my real self again.
Therapy was damaging for me if I think about it honestly. I will never do that ever again.
3)Drugs. Many therapists are trying to get me on medication, constantly. I've rejected the idea because I've done it once and disliked how it went. I did escitalopram(lexapro) 10mg, then 20mg, then quit it. The entire experience was brutal and had 0 positive effects on my life. And it has had me question 'medication'.
Best experiences with drugs have been MDMA and ketamine. But this is considered 'recreational use' by society, when I am just trying to become normal somehow.
Honestly have too many shit to talk about, nobody is even reading this.
Average forum-user will go: 'oh insane guy with mental disability, lol thats not me' and go on with this life which is understandable. Fun thing is that this was my own attitude aswell always.

Scientists have been researching this and they found out that scully edits activate a part of the brain that releases dopamine
