When youre talking to a girl over text how do you deal with the times when you dont have the motivation to talk

Like sometimes I have insane motivation to talk and actually have a conversation and sometimes I have absolutely zero motivation to talk and cant think of any thing to say
Ive noticed i normally have low motivation around this time midday and then have high motivation at night.
I often just lie and say I'm going to go sleep and when I want to talk just say i woke up but I feel like they can tell im lying

Just don’t chat if you can’t be bothered and make up excuses. As long as you chat enthusiastically later then you’ll be fine
