These trenchcoats are expensive as fuck $4000+ and more sometimes, it's possible to sometimes find them in secondhand for less but well gotta luck out on it being your size

A proper trenchcoat is a staple of male fashion because it improves your physique, underlines male silhouette, emphasizes wideness of shoulders and V shape of torso which is #1 quality of looking good as a male. But with cheap copies producers don't give a fuck about it whatsoever

Just go to a tailor to make you a custom one that fits perfectly, back in the old days that's how most people got their clothes - they went to tailors, now they're rare and pretty expensive, but you can find cheaper ones in poorer countries.

It's about the same money-wise, real gabardine is expensive as fuck and good tailor will take a lot for this. Off-the-shelf stuff in this case is economical choice, tailor-made is top of the line and also more expensive. I wish it wasn't like that but sadly it is. The best option for such items currently is to find a used original or high-quality reproduction and try and make tailor adjustments.
Good side is that it's something you buy once in your life because this shit will never wear down.

Sadly the more consoomerist fast-fashion dominates and less common classical fashion becomes, the more expensive proper stuff of the latter is. Tailors are now basically an elite service due to becoming a niche, because there's so few left and they can only compete with quality, not price anymore as nothing can compete with fast fashion prices; what was basic 50 years ago is elite today. Trenchcoats, suit jackets, classic shoes, tailor made items of all kind etc all this today is something you need to place away a sizable chunk of your budget on if you want to actually have look qualities that make you profit from wearing such clothes. Because if you go for cheaper options you'll get fucked either on quality (like cheap suits made with polyester mixes, which are uncomfortable as fuck and don't breathe, so you get all sweaty in an instant) or on aesthetics - clothes not keeping proportions, not fitting and not emphasizing male physique, ergo = not doing their job that you buy them for in the first place, which is to look attractive.
