right now i have a mod cut. i just stopped getting perms recently and im transitioning back to my natural straight hair

I'm gonna completely honest, I just relax all my hair then cut the pieces that are too long in the shape/directions that I like. I don't know any "real" hair cutting methods.

woman’s hair salons are usually better suited if you have longer hair, anywhere ranging from a mod cut to a fluffy wolfcut. they’re more used to working with length, layers, and shaping around the face instead of just defaulting to short, clean cuts like most barbers do. that matters a lot when you’re trying to keep volume and that soft, flowy look instead of ending up with something flat or boxy.
