In my experience I find it to be false.
I don't post on the shit site anymore but occasionally view archived threads when bored. The few times someone posts themselves or a part of themselves, 90% of the time they have skinny wrists or delicate features. I've literally never seen an obese neckbeard type posting even though the site is stereotyped to be filled with them.
For example, all the people posting themselves on this 4chan thread look like underweight anime characters or lean at the heaviest:
I've noticed this trend on other sites as well, in that more nerds and autistics seem to be femboy twinks rather than fat fedora wearers.
The "fat nerd" stereotype is actually a perfect example of lookism in action. The skinny twinks are really the nastiest and wierdest ones, but all their actions get blamed on the fat and/or ugly people since it's seen as more acceptable to hate them.
