Yea but people advise to start with a project in your mind because I tried to learn like that without a project in mind and I gave up twice because it’s boring and if you dont have context, it never stays in your mind

Do you have experience with programming? If not then game programming can be pretty fun and really lets you understand how it works, helps you understand the documentations pretty well too. If you're interested I'd suggest you to learn c# for unity

If you don't wish to know how programming works and just want to get the job done, I'd recommend python or javascript but if you do wish to know then start with languages like c/c++. C# and java are inbetween of these.

Bad advice. Game development experience doesn't translate well to real world careers. All you do it fuck with unity all day.

OP go check out:
Code:
https://developers.google.com/edu/python/introduction
http://python101.pythonlibrary.org/chapter1_idle.html
https://diveintopython3.net/
https://realpython.com/learning-paths/python3-introduction/
https://pythonbooks.org/(this website is unironically godly)
https://py.checkio.org/ (learned a lot of basics with this one)
https://learnbyexample.github.io/py_resources/

Start with the google intro, then move to py.checkio, to get the syntax etc. down, the chcek out pythonbooks when you know what direction you want to go in

Eng is more stressful, do the thing that requires the least amount of work/time.

@needsurgeryasap why do you want to learn it? There is no point in learning something that you won't ever use.

Wdym by "learned OOP"? I never understood when people say this - isn't OOP just using a bunch of objects and their methods together? Understanding inheritance, scopes etc?
I "understood" OOP as a concept when I started writing JS, it wasn't difficult at all

Or maybe I'm wrong and I don't understand it :lul:

Learned the concept of classes, just build a class for everything you need in your game and instantiate those into objects by using constructors. Classes and objects come under OOP

I mean if i were to do comp sci, I'd do software since my parents like the idea of a bachelor of engineering or smth.

Didn't think it was more difficult

I tried udemy for machine learning and its with videos and listeing to people converse with each other... brainlet stuff tbh, if you're interested in learning python, follow a course with a more theoretic goal and then implement at the side (teach yourself the syntax, that is pretty effective, as you're learning by doing)

who would win in a programming showdown?

I teach Python (srsly, not larp). Start from learning maths, algebra or vectors/matrices. Implement it in Python. If you can do that, you will learn everything.

Why would you start with python?? You usually start with the easiest which is HTML and CSS
