I live in a major USA city and speed dating is like talking to 30 girls in like 2 hours. Not a lot of opportunities to talk to so many girls in such a short time frame other than cold approaching like crazy. I've gotten good hook ups from it.

Local bars are good too. Get to know bartenders and regulars for social proof but aim to go on Sun-Thurs. If can go on Friday and Saturday but there is much more competition those nights. I got way more hook ups on a Thurs or Sunday night just from being the only guy at the bar actually approaching girls as opposed to Saturday night when 10 other girls hit on that girl before I could

Yea that's the worst part. Drink as little as you can (it's a looksmin). If they have food order some. Also going out on a weekday is harder because of work the next day but it's way more chill than doing it on the weekend

is youre sub chadlite youre not going to get approached on the streets or at a grocery store
so your options are social circle maxxing at school, to luck out on a dating app (ik you said you dont want ons but it is possible to find fwb and/or ltrs via dating apps) and nightclubs/bars

I am mtn and have only been cold approached in public like twice. I'm gonna looksmaxx to chadlite then try my luck.
