I cant walk in a public space when a woman is nearby without being percieved as a potential rapist.
I cant walk past a public space where kids exist without being percieved as a child predator.
If I ever get married and have kids and then end up getting divorced I will most likely lose custody of my kids.
If I ever become the victim of sexual assault or domestic abuse it will be treated as a joke instead of a crime.
If a woman ever assaults me and I retaliate in self defence I will likely be the one in trouble.
If I ever commit a crime I will likely face a longer sentence than a woman comitting the same crime.
If I get stopped by the cops I am several times more likely to get shot by the cops than a woman would be.
If I ever develop a mental illness it is much more likely to lead to me taking my own life due to not being taken seriously.
At work I am held to a higher standard than my female co-workers, they can get away with doing a poor job much easier than I can.
Everyone worries about how women are affected by seeing models in commercials and movies and how it affects their self esteem and self image but no one ever questions how it affects me as a man when I am exposed to the same thing just as much.
Judging a woman for her appearance is awful but making fun of a guy for being bald or short or fat etc is funny and socially acceptable.
Not being interested in a woman because she is unemployed and makes her living begging strangers online for money in exchange for nudes is seen as shallow but judging and mocking a man for being unemployed or working a low income job is totally fine.
Men treating women as sex objects is wrong but women treating men as walking ATM's is empowering.
Men having negative opinions about a woman lables him an incel for life but a woman being openly hateful towards men and tweeting #killallmen is empowering.
Women are taught they are special and wonderful no matter their situation. As a man I am taught I have no inherent value and am only worth as much as the work I can perform and the money I can make.
The amount of male to female gender affirming surgery vastly outnumbers the amount of female to male surgeries because women are taught that they can be whatever way they want and still be women. Meanwhile boys will be ridiculed, ostracized and even physically assaulted if they deviate from what society considers masculine behavior.
Going to school we were constantly taught about the struggles and oppression of women through history but very little emphasis was ever put on how men lived short lives working dangerous jobs under awful working conditions and were expected to risk their lives to provide for themselves and their families. Not to mention all of the men sent to early graves in wars. We are taught that these things happened but the fact that it affected almost exclusively men is seldom mentioned.
Growing up boys are taught that they are inherently bad and dangerous. Every single boy is a potential future serial killer or rapist because men are inherently bad. And people trusting you should be seen as a privilege.
So with this said and still probably missing a lot I ask again, where is that male privilege I have been told about? Because I sure havnt benefitted from it yet in my life.
