Going to start a combat sport,

The options available in my area are:

- Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
- MMA
- Submission Grappling
- Kick Boxing
- Boxing
- Muay Thai

Which one do you think is the easiest & hardest to learn

Submission grappling is very homo-erotic, same w jiu jitsu but the latter is actually legit n a crucial base.

What is your purpose? To compete or as a hobby?

Start with one and then try something else after a couple of months.

Or just go do 1-2 workouts at every sport and see which one you like the most.

Keep in mind one thing is the sport, the other is the community you're joining.
I would take a smaller frattier fighting gym over a corporate big fighting gym any day of the week.

I have found a lot of friends in fighting gyms.

Currently for a hobby, I go to the gym 3x a week but obviously that wouldn't help me in a scenario of life where I was physically attacked.

If I fall in love with the sport then I guess competing could be an option

Yes, I am very interested in the community side as well.

I want to be surrounded by those that live and breathe the sport so I can understand their discipline

Then it depends on what sport interests you the most. Muay Thai if done in a legit gym can be far too exhilarating for a hobby, n is the hardest. It's downgraded version is kickboxing which would be a good choice in my opinion.

Odds are you'll never use the shit outside of the gym anyway so pick whichever one is the most fun for you

MMA is the most fun IMO because it teaches you skills from a lot of different martial arts and lets you try different shit

mma obviously

everything else is a waste of time when a guy comes that only can box/kickbox/bjj/wrestle

allrounder mogs everything if ur good. but most important is still wrestling for fights
