Which haircut stands out better for me?

I will attach two pics on DM, one of which is where i got short hair, another of which i got longer one. (Please do not get confused by phot with/without glasses and just focus on the hair) I want to know which haircut is better and more appealing and what would you all guys suggest further(maybe different hairstyles)? Thanks in advance.

The first one looks good because of the way your stubble blends into your hair. I just don't know how I feel about the sides. If you had a beard in the second pic that blends in up to your hair in a similar way to the first (albeit not just stubble, a fuller beard) I think it would look better.
