WASP is trans-Atlantic and therefore more widespread. I believe that the Nordic type has more appeal to Europeans specifically.

maesthetics is usually a better choice, because we're able to pull off more masculine features i.e facial hair, shorter haircuts and a rugged look without looking too intimidating, southerners struggle with this because it's a fine line between masculine and looking like a taliban member for them.

but black hair, especially a black beard quickly makes you look more intimidating because it stands out more in contrast to your skin, this doesn't happen with fair hair, it looks like it's part of your skin from a distance.
