i wasn't really close but a month ago i was skiing off-piste/freeride, and i fell on a zone without a lot of snow and i hit my knee and almost my head with my rock, i had to climb to grab the ski that fell off with my other ski as a lever effect cuz the snow was pretty deep, then i had to put on both of my skis again on a really steep slope (the ones who ski know how difficult it is), so if i fell it was over for me, at the end i got out fine, all this with a 4 out of 5 level of avalanche
