What? Unless your either palpate someone's face you can't tell by looking at them (in most cases) that it's actual notching or just the position of the masseter, also square jaws also have some ramus flaring so it can also create that appearance.

The massater actually will not make this too, will just increase the prominence in the sides, not down.

I know exactly what you're talking about, but you're making these judgments on photographs at angles you have no idea, lense distortion of who knows and retouched somehow. The only real way to understanding antigonial notching is to either feel it physically yourself or to see an xray, or maybe have a look at their ooclusal plane.
