Disagree. Dutch/German/Flannish languages are very harsh sounding
Yeah, I was kidding. Many people seem to hate it, or think it sounds weird. Personally, it never sounded weird or harsh to me. To me, Punjabi is a harsh language. Just hear a paindu from the pind speak and then you’ll know what I mean.

I think hochdeutsch by itself is very harsh. Long compound hards hard to pronounce vowels stops. Doesn't sound good.

South Asian languages are automatically disqualified because of retroactive consonants

I think french and Italian sound nice. They use a lot of vowels and try to twist ever word into a rhythm and one of the reasons why an Italian accent of English is considered exotic is

Italian sounds good and most Italians Ive met actually have a nice voice tbh. Japanese sounds kind of whiny, French sounds mentally retarded, other Euro languages like German/Dutch are clumsy and slavic languages are very thick.

Yes. Both indo Aryan and Dravidian languages have retroflex consonants. You can look it up. In most languages this is used very rarely but it is one of the signature sounds of South Asian languages

the "seductive middle aged guy" British accent that alot of Brits try to imitate where they enunciate every T and letter sounds good

Is that where the harsh sounds come from?

Italian

Men speaking italian sound adventurous, like they are telling you the most interesting and epic story ever

Women sound lustful and passionate

Its their cantabile intonation and inflexions. A bumpy language great for instilling a sense of surprise and excitement

If you mean the typical curry accent then yes. The main culprit behind it. That and monotonous speech

Just the way it sounds. I really dislike the sounds they make.
Finally someone else sees it.

Here in Canada they always translate the Prime Minister's speaking in French for Quebec viewers, and it sounds hilariously disgusting imo :feelshaha:

Wowwww! It’s nice to see someone else who agrees. Everyone else seems to love it so I thought I was probably weird for it, but I guess not.

i believe the harsh sound in german and dutch is what makes it great. It's pretty offtopic for this thread - as it's not "beautiful" by any means, but it sounds commanding, leadership-like and serious. I really enjoy german movies and shows for that reason, and even how the language is potrayed in english (or hollywood) media. I've been to germany only once and enjoyed hearing the language.
