Balkans are complicated albeit, its an extremely wierd place where 3 or 4 cultural influences can be seen: Ottoman (Turco-Persian), Slavic, Italian, Byzantine (Greeco-Anatolian)

Greece, Montenegro, Albania, Herzegovina, Dalmatia, and parts of North Macedonia are more Mediterranean then they are East European, in every aspect
