I am gonna need cw rotation and it sucks because it makes your midface longer
Don't say that so matter of factly. You have had various incorrect assumptions on this forum, but speak as though you know something.
makes the lower third* longer. Although people tend to see this illusion that it gives a longer midface, often because they had a short lower third, not midface.I am gonna need cw rotation and it sucks because it makes your midface longer
..... It completely depends. Folks with very long lower thirds and steep mandibular angles will most likely benefit from CCW. Folks with more brachyfacial features, short lower thirds, will benefit more from CW rotation. Whatever will give a more "harmonious" after.
CW rotation elongates the lower third, whereas the CCW shortens the lower third on average. Generally speaking, CCW usually generates shorter lower third that is more forward, wheares CW does the exact opposite. To compensate for the lack of anterior prominence, CW should ideally be accompanied by more linear advancements that are potentially less stable, so it really depends on the anatomical variations of the patient, judgment and skills of the surgeons and some other variables.
CCW rotation in all cases no matter what is basically a meme. This girl benefited greatly from CW rotation

Keep in mind you can have either anterior or posterior downgrafting or impaction, or some combination. jaw surgery is not changing out a couple legos, it can be fairly complex.

I have a quick question so cw rotation widens the jaw and makes the face longer but the plus side is you end up getting a longer face if you are a brachypheliac.
My question is would it be possible to get IMDO+CW rotation to widen the short mandible and then to get ccw+lefort 1+bsso to shorten to face ? but also to bring it up and forward.
so wait for the bones to grow back, and use that bone to advance even more?tbh it's best to do CCW first, then do CW in a second bimax. it helps to balance the jaws out and maximize forward growth.
no obv not niggaso wait for the bones to grow back, and use that bone to advance even more?
is that legit
your nose length wont changeI am gonna need cw rotation and it sucks because it makes your midface longer
any thoughts on nose length ranges for what constitutes as long and normal on absolute scaleyour nose length wont change
Most nose lengths can look good if they have the right skull surrounding which maximises harmony. Only the extremely short or extremely long noses can guarantee you wont look good.any thoughts on nose length ranges
What do you mean? Everybody knows that CW rotation increases midface ratio and CCW shortens it...... It completely depends.
