Which nutrients should be supplemented and which shouldn't?

So as we all know magnesium, zinc, iron, and vitamin C all play a role in collagen synthesis

Which of these nutrients are worth buying supplements for and which of them don't absorb well into the body or are easily found in foods?

Magnesium

Calcium carbonate, for 1:1 calcium to phosphate ratio.

Niacin

Vitamin c
 
vitamin d especially during autumn/winter when there isnt much sun, magnesium, zinc and vitamin c
