I have one ex boyfriend, and I was head over heals for him. We dated for over a year and the relationship ended because he wasn't attracted to me enough to marry me, despite pretty much everything else being perfect. I was extremely attracted to him, and him being 6'2" was an extra bonus.
I still fall into the cycle of complaining about receiving "no male attention" when a handful of unattractive/low value men are reaching out, because I'm not receiving attention from guys I actually like.
There's a guy from my church (22m) who I've had a massive crush on for months now, but he's 6'5" and totally out of my league. He doesn't even get the most female attention because of how Christian, conservative, and traditional he is.
I feel demoralized when my attractive female friends there are constantly getting hit on and getting into relationships. I feel completely invisible to attractive high value guys, and even average guys.
I have begun to take better care of my appearance in recent months. Dressing more feminine (and modest as I always have), styling my hair, taking care of my skin, light makeup, and things like that. I'm also about average weight, but I'm aiming to the drop the 5-7ish pounds I've gained since starting college. No matter what I do, I've only been able to attract low value men who I can't see myself ever being attracted to.
My desire for marriage with a masculine, attractive HVM is so high to the point where it's taking over my life and causing me extreme day-to-day frustration. At this point, do I just have to settle with a LVM because I'm not physically attractive enough for a HVM?
My self worth is lower than it has ever been, and I have convinced myself that I’ll never be able to marry a man who I’m attracted to. I now have the logic that if I’m attracted to a guy (example: my ex), then he’s out of my league and won’t be attracted to me.
We dated for over a year, he was my best friend. I wouldn’t be a Christian today without him and I’m forever grateful that he introduced me to the faith.
It works in reverse too, so I’ll admit that I am picky when it comes to guys. I’ve recently started to get some attention from unattractive/low value guys, while simultaneously being frustrated that I’m not attractive enough for guys I’m actually interested in.
I prefer men who are 2-5 years older than me (I’m 20). Men a little older than me are more mature and attractive to me than guys who are my age/slightly younger.
Some things that I have done to work on myself include taking care of my skin, dressing well/more feminine, eating well, exercising, styling my hair, and embracing my femininity.
As a woman, I really want a relationship, but I'm scared to put in the effort because I have a fear of rejection. No guy has ever asked me out on a date or asked for my number, so I'm scared to take those steps myself.
In a perfect world I’d get married at 21-22 to a Christian guy who’s 2-5 years older than me (who’s a virgin, as I’m a virgin waiting for marriage), who will be a strong provider.
