Im retarded when it comes to styling hair. Haven’t used any product, not even shampoo, in 5+ years. Looking for a fellow honkey with a good understanding of hair cuts and styling to help me out in pms. Got a cut Friday and I’m trying not to get botched

It's over for that hairline tbh. Just do the typical receding normie cut where you get a 2-3 on the sides and comb the top to the side.

I keep trying to grow that hair out but then when I go to the barber he fucks it up and I end up with a skinfade on the sides again. What do you tell him to do to the sides and top?

We seem to have almost the same hair and norwood pattern.
I grew it out so it's a little bit longer than yours. Because my hair is pretty long and the hair is heavy my pomade + hairspray doesn't do a lot for me. That's why I started making my own sea salt spray. Gives me a nice volume boost and cause the hair is more gritty you can restyle it throughout the day. I still have to perfect my own sea salt spray but im pretty pleased atm.

As for cuts, I don't know what would suit you cause I haven't seen your face, but if you want to keep the current hair you always have to ask for layered cut. See how the top hair rests on the hair below it? That's what you want to achieve.

There are many ways to style your hair like this, but I've only tried two. Pomade or mousse + blowdryer + hairspray.
Pomade just gives you more grit and volume and is more a messy style, you don't have to slick back hair. Mousse + blowdryer + hairspray holds better throughout the day and is classier.
