You don't understand. These are promotional photos. When you work for these schools you gotta smile a lot and be as non threatening as possible. Imagine being a big white foreigner and working with a bunch of kids aged 3-13 who have never seen a non Asian person in their life. If you look intimidating parents won't want to bring their kids to the school. It's kind of like being black in the States. If you ain't grinnin, you ain't winnin.

To be fair though, the guy in this pic might just be gay. It's a bit over the top. There's a lot of them over here teaching English.

Lol, this is old footage I found of me hosting a Christmas event a couple years ago. It's kind of gay, but it's just a facade. That's not how I am IRL.

damn you actually taught English in China? that sounds interesting ngl, I’m entertaining the thought of teaching English in either Japan or China, hence why I was even watching this video.

Yeah, I'm in China now. I've been doing it since 2011.

Japan and China are a world of difference. I've never been to Japan, but I know all about the ESL scene over there. A lot of dudes who get fed up over there come over here.

It's a lot more free in China. Less working hours and more money. The salaries in Japan are higher, but you're not gonna be able to save as much. Things are so cheap in China.

The last job I had, the school I was working at in the video, I quit last November. I made 19,000 Yuan a month (about $2,700). My 2 bedroom fully furnished apartment cost 1,800 Yuan a month (about $200). I worked Wednesday through Friday from 4pm to 8pm, Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 6pm (with an hour lunch break), and had Monday/Tuesday off. This is a pretty standard work schedule/salary for a foreigner at a training school in China. I've only been to highschool and never went to college.

It's much easier to get jobs in China too due to the population. The demand is too crazy. I've literally been fired from one place and got another job, with more pay, on the same day.

If you want I can get you in touch with somebody that can have you a good job tomorrow. They get a commission for finding you for the school, and get paid after you've worked there for a month. You don't pay them, the school does.

You can download WeChat on your phone and add me. Pm me on here. You'll need someone in China with a Chinese phone # to send a code to in order to activate your account.

Yeah dude. Go for it. Some people will tell you that you need to have a degree. It's not true. They're just jealous of people who don't have one who make the same amount, or more, than them. Most schools can get you a legal work visa, regardless of the law. It's just the way things are done over here. All these kinds of businesses have the right relationships with the right people. I actually prefer to work on a non legal visa though. I don't like being tied down to one school/employer.

Another place you might want to check out is Vietnam. I've lived there for 10 months (Ho Chi Minh City), but I never taught there. I know what it's like though. High salaries, low requirements, and flexible hours. A lot better than teaching in Thailand. The weather in Vietnam blows the weather in China way out of the water as well. It's pretty much endless summer there. The rainy season only lasts about 3 months, and it's not nearly as bad as people think it is.

Yeah, only in Asia. I've been wanting to go to Russia for so long. Every time I've been about to go though something's come up and gotten in the way of it.

Lol, no. If you're white you're in. Actually, as long as you're not Asian and can speak English at an intermediate level you'll have no problem.

I think you're Swedish, right? In my Experience, Swedes speak English with very little accent. Most Swedes I know speak excellent English. It wouldn't matter if you didn't though.

What will happen is the school you're working at will just tell the parents of students that you're an American. Trust me, Chinese parents won't ever know the difference. The black guy in the video I posted is from Egypt, but the school says he's American. I've even known Uzbekis over here being passed off as Americans.

I wouldn't be so quick to say that. The Chinese guy looks like he's probably a boss. He probably owns the school the guy works at. If that's the case he most likely has an extremely hot high quality Chinese wife.

That white guy can probably only get bottom of the barrel foreigner obsessed trash. He's probably friendzoned by every girl in the office where he works at. I've known a million dudes like him.

Here's the thing about being a white guy in Asia. You can always get laid. If you tried real hard you could probably line up a different girl for every night of the week. However, the quality of women you have access to is not nearly as good or plentiful as it would be if you were a local. Most girls in Asia who date foreign men have something wrong with them. It's like that movie Duece Bigalow. Headcases, retards, and sl*ts most of em are.
