White people and bear attacks

Why is it that white people put themselves in position to be eaten alive by this animal on a regular basis? We are talking about a near 800 pound animal here that would will not kill you and will instead begin to devour your flesh while you are alive. Put it this way, a fully grown 420 pound African Lion would be destroyed immediately by a large bear.

Is it a case of white people thinking they are too smart to get eaten alive by a stupid animal such as a bear? I just don't understand why it's only exclusively white people in America who are eaten alive by this animal.

white people live more in areas that border bear habitats. and white people seem to enjoy going into the wilderness, the outdoors, etc more than blacks. also, taken into perspective, bear attacks are actually quite rare. bear spray or a gun will usually save you, talking really loud or making a lot of noise will usually save you too as it lets the bear know you're there so they can avoid you and you won't surprise and startle it into a fight response. they people who died were not prepared.

A lot of the attacks are in national parks or areas where whites specifically went to hike despite knowing that bears were residing in the areas. I'm sure they had your mentality of how easy it is to outsmart a bear so lets take a risk of getting eaten alive by an 800 pound animal. We have our bear spray so we will be fine. How do you know the bear is in good health? These are wild animals and they are known to have issues with their teeth from time to time so they could be in pain or could be acting unpredictably for any reason.
