what's the best method to whiten teeth?

ive tried crest whitening strips and Im not actually sure if they work because I later researched some more when trying to find out why they didnt and found out your not supposed to drink soda while using whitening strips even within days of doing so,

bc the strips open up yours on your teeth so when you drink something dark like coke or even non dark but acidic like sprite they get inside these pores and basically rape your teeth to oblivion, yellowing them.

I brush my teeth twice a day 2 minutes each time so my teeth aren't noticeably yellow or anything but If I look closely in the mirror theyre sort of yellowish, due to irl lighting its not visible but I still want to get rid of it as well as ascend my teeth as close as I can to Hollywood pearly whites without veneers.

I dont think its due to dentin since my teeth would be sensitive to whitening strips if the dentin were thin but theyre not, so it seems like stubborn staining perhaps?

im too broke for professional whitening

Should I buy new ones and try again or is there some other method I should try?

yeah, but i'm pretty sure that in botb there's a good thread for whitening teeth and it's way better than whitening strips
