Caring about politics is an incel trait. It's like a bell curve.

Dumb people are too dumb to understand it, so they don't try and go back to fucking their cousin or something
Smart people (without power) know how insurmountable the task of making real policy change is, so they avoid it entirely since it's a waste.

Midwits (Read: Normies) care about it bceause they think their limited understanding is enough to make sweeping statements, and engage with the political process. It's just like team sports to them, really. Although with more of a moral standing.
