Comes from the movie "Matrix" where the main character Neo is given a choice to either swallow a blue pill, where he will wake up tomorrow and forget everything he has seen, or take the red pill and escape the matrix and wake up to reality. Then the bluepill and redpill are now groups in society, the bluepillers are all the ordinary people, the redpillers are the gymcopers and moneymaxxers that talk about muh game. And now the blackpill is an evolved sub group of the redpill that is without bullshit copes and much more grim and dark than the redpill in it's beliefs therefore given the name "blackpill". Most people that reach the blackpill go through first the bluepill stages, the the redpill stages, and then finally ends up here.

It's a subpill of the blackpill, having an optimistic outlook. Basically incels follow blackpill to the core while looksmaxxers are more whitepillers.
