its not about jews that we cant control things and that we dont have a free will

Its just the nature of humans not to have a free will

Our will is influenced by predetermined factors such as our genetics, parents, and their abilities

Furthermore, our will is influenced by all the experiences we gather that we cannot control

Humans do not have free will in this sense, but are merely a shell of the will that arises from external factors that we cannot influence

It is very paradoxical, but I think everyone benefits from thinking there is some of it, even thought it is very limited.

If you read about the nature of the self, you realize that there is some sort misconception about the way we are. We think of ourselves as some sort of inherent organism within a body—like a soul for example—but not, we are the sum of all of our parts. In Buddhism, the Buddha talks about the five psycho-physical agreggates of existence which when together form what we call the a self.

As such, in such a self, there are feelings, perceptions, mental formations, and consciousness that arise depending on the previous conditioning. For example: biological, sociological, psychological, and such. These different conditionings set certain pathways of possible action you could get to take by previously provoking the arising of certain patterns of thought and feeling. So in a way, there is a constant and changing dynamic self for which arise a multitude of possibilities based on previous causes and effects.

So it is more some sort of "conditioned free will".
