I'm a sociopath with little regard for human life beyond statistical large scale stuff. But people who say their pet is more important or as important as a person are weird asf.

I love my dog but if it came down to a random man dying or him I would sadly kill him. A dog or any animal for that matter does not compare to a human. They are valuable in a property sense and because the human owners care about it. Without humans that care about it the dog has no meaning.

Humans are not equal to one another despite possessing sentience let alone to animals... The dog or cat mom shit has always weirded me out people using animals as surrogate kids its creepy and sad. I love my dog but at the end of the day he is mere property if it cost me enough money to keep him I would have to get rid of him.
