@p0lishsubhuman also says the same thing. He wants to move to America iirc
I mean Poland is fine in terms of safety and low amount of immigrants, I'm not complaining tbh

it's very probable that russia invades a NATO member by 2029 and that might be Poland though

but if someone offered me to move to an area like somewhere in NYC without crime I'd take it, that's a nobrainer for me tbh

Western europe is corrupt too and gonna collapse soon. And us I guess.
All I know is that my family that moved to WE now lives a much better life then they did here. So even a "fallen" western europe still mogs EE for most people.

Ok then, if you want to go live in bumfuck nowhere in the forests of Poland for some reason you do you. Most people there are probably pretty racist to be fair. It just seems crazy to me to want that if you have wealth when most people are actively trying to escape those areas for a better life.
i couldnt give a fuck about living an extravagant lifestyle, maybe once you mature you'll come to the same senses

At various points during the last 20 years. Most to Germany and some to France. I don't think most people grasp how hard life in EE is, I am geting a masters degree in EE and I will be lucky to even find a job in my area for like 1500€ a month. Meanwhile all our prices are the same as in western europe.

Bro most of my friends earn like 1100€ a month here meanwhile the avarage small apartment rent is like 500€ and the prices for groceries are actually higher then in WE. Most of these US niggas couldn't even get by just surviving here month to month.

Unfortunately Mamdani will win. He will become mayor, do the absolutely minimum amount of what he promised, and all his voters will receive a shiny fell for it again award in the mail.

Things have changed, that's the thing. West Europe is longer what it used to be.

Don't get me wrong, at the end of the month you will still be able to save up more in western europe in most cases (not counting Spain and Italy) but there are more factors out there.

France, Germany and UK seem to be cooked long-term. I don't know what type of gymnastics they will pull off to not go to total shit.

Same for other countries. Add to shit economy that you will be living along tons of 3rd worlders, cities are not clean, crime on the rise, the chronic feeling of being a foreigner...
Norway and Switzerland are the ones that seem the best economically at the moment.

Sure, the ones who migrated and got good jobs in western countries more than 15 years ago are good right now after years of good salaries and good QOL, but it's all going in the wrong direction, so a lot of people are choosing to buy themselves a good house in their homeland and live comfortably along their own.

Just like your anecdote, there's anecdotes online of people coming back from west europe these last years.

@User28823 is rich anyways. Also, not all eastern countries are equal.
I agree that it's not a paradise in any way or form. But what other country in Europe or outside Europe could suit OP more than Poland, if he is decided to fly away from murika?

Hey Mr Voorhees, I know this is serverly offtopic but since I’m an ITcel too can you suggest me a project I can knock out on my own that would look good on my resume?

It could really be about anything, cause as of right now I only have one personal project (a mobile app which acts as a financial planner but the rest of my projects are all school based and kinda mid)

My experience is improving though, I am in two clubs where I have been assigned in the programming teams and I’m also going to be working for a hospital soon as a dev

As New York City approaches its November 4, 2025, general election. Who do you think is going to win? I've already written how important winning the NYC is for each of the parties involved. NYC is the most influential city in the world so whoever wins this will have access to the world's power.

The leading candidiate.

Democratic : Zohran Mamdani

View attachment 4183517

The 33 year old Indians origin democratic socialist who won in the June 24 Democratic primary via ranked choice voting. edging out Cuomo. Mamdani's main emphasis is affordable housing, universal childcare, and police reform. He is currently the leading with ~50% support.

Independent Cuomo

View attachment 4183521

He is entering as an independent after a narrow loss. He also has sexual harassment allegations and has been condemned for his COVID nursing home policies. His campaign was mainly about on fiscal discipline and public safety. Around ~30% support according to polls

Republican Contender:Curtis Sliwa

View attachment 4183524

Guardian Angels founder Sliwa. Also a 2021 nominee returns with a law andorder message, criticizing soft on crime policies and migrant strains on city resources. As NYC's registered Democrats outnumber Republicans 6-to-1. Tbf he is unlikely to win and he polls at ~19%

Prediction markets and polls favor Mamdani heavily.

Polymarket: 90% chance for Mamdani, 10% Cuomo.

ETN Forecast: Mamdani 49.9%, Cuomo 29.9%, Sliwa 19.1% (D+20).

Who do you think is going to win NYC? I predict Mamdani will do a clean sweep
I'd like to see the last guy win.

I like mandami because of his economic stance and policy on social services I just wish he didn’t come with all the other bs

He’s definitely going to win the vote, his campaign was top notch, and he tried to appeal to most classes and generations of voters
