Never intended to come back to USA. Only came here two years after marriage, because of COVID. COVID made me realize we gotta have the same citizenship so we don't get split up and it would have to be American since I can never become Chinese. Now that she's got it I'm dragging us to Russia within a few months.

No they don't. They only conscript citizens. You have to serve on it when applying fur citizenship or permanent residency.
