The average Indian may have a "Caucasian" skull but it doesn't lead to them being seen as more Caucasian on average.

Your average muttified Hispanic and Arab with Mongol and Black admixture looks more Caucasian than your average Indian. Indians still have a very distinctive look to them even if they do have Caucasian admixture.

East Asians have a different skull and facial features but their skin tone is far more similar to Whites than the average Indian. Also, East Asian countries have similar levels of development and soft power as Western countries which gives them more social status than Indians.

So, I'd say Indians genetically but East Asians socially.

Many Cuban-Americans are 90%+ Spanish, many Argentinians, Uruguayans, Brazilians.... look straight up from Iberia and Italy, while the vast majority of Indians are brown.

The oxford dictionary states 4 definitions for "white" as in adj.

1- "having the colour of fresh snow or of milk".
In this case Mongolians are to be generally considered more "white".

2- "belonging to or connected with a group of people who have pale skin, especially people who come from or whose ancestors came from Europe"
Here the point is made that one should take special consideration to the people being connected (assumed genetically) to people with 'fairer' skin, especially Europeans in which case the argument COULD be made that Indians are more "white".
I would say it leans in 80% favour to Indians.

(The 3rd and 4th definition were inapplicable to a 'people' like the Indians or the Mongolians)


Summary: The first definition leans 100% towards Mongolians while the second definition leans 80% in 'favour' to the Indians leaving the balance to an average of 60% for the Mongolians and 40% for the Indians. HOWEVER the fact remains that the second definition is more applicable to this discussion than the first since it is centered around the use of "white" as an adjective to describe people and although this isn't specified in the thread's title I will give it a significance of 1/3 (33,3..%) which would adjust the standings of the sides of the arguments to 73,3..% in favour of Indians and 26,6..% in favour of Mongolians.

Conclusion: The Indians are indeed 2,75 (275%) times as white as the Mongolians are. The ratio of whiteness of Indians to Mongolians is 11:4.
