Meet Silas Smith, 21 of Arkansas.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — A Prairie Grove man was arrested Aug. 20 after police say he was discovered in a women’s bathroom stall with baby lotion and an iPhone filled with child sex abuse material.

Silas Smith, 20, is facing charges of distributing, possessing or viewing of matter depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child and video voyeurism.

According to a preliminary report, officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to a call at the Walmart Supercenter on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard on July 30 about a man in the women’s restroom.

Officers found Smith locked in a stall in the women’s restroom. Near him were two wine coolers and a travel-size bottle of baby lotion. The report says officers noted that Smith had oil on his hands and phone. Officers seized his phone.

Bentonville man sentenced to 10 years for 12 counts of CSAM
The report says officers located a female victim, who was using the bathroom in one of the women’s stalls, when she saw a man looking over the stalls. The woman told police she heard sounds that led her to believe the man was masturbating.

According to the report, police noticed signs of intoxication from Smith and he was arrested for loitering, criminal trespass, and public intoxication.

On July 31, investigators were given a search warrant for Smith’s iPhone. The report says they found multiple videos of women being filmed while using the bathroom at Walmart, along with voyeurism videos. Investigators also found around 187 digital files containing child sex abuse material (CSAM).

Police say they also found messages on Smith’s phone about him buying and/or trading CSAM on encrypted apps. The report says in many of the messages, he says he wants “younger” CSAM content.

The report says police found 30 voyeuristic videos that Smith recorded, including the woman who made the initial complaint. Police say they found multiple files of him recording women shopping in Walmart on the night he was arrested. Some of the files show him following women and children. Police believe some of the files show children under the age of 12. The report says the recordings zoom in on the buttocks area of the children and women.

According to the report, police went to Smith’s home and arrested him. He was taken to the Washington County jail. No bond has been set.

Smith is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 22 at 7:45 a.m.

The Fayetteville Police Department responded to a call on July 30 at the Walmart Supercenter on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. A witness reported a man locked in the women’s restroom who was looking over stalls and making noises they believed indicated he was masturbating.
Officers reportedly found 20-year-old Silas Smith inside a stall with two Jack Daniel's wine coolers, baby lotion, and his phone. According to a preliminary report, Smith had oil on his hands and phone. He was initially taken into custody for loitering, criminal trespassing, and public intoxication.
A day later, investigators obtained a warrant to search Smith’s phone. Police say they found roughly 30 voyeurism videos, including some recorded inside the Walmart bathroom.
Police only could identify one person in the videos, which had been the witness who reported Smith. The report says police followed up with her, and she decided to press charges.

"It should be noted Smith's cell phone has multiple files of him recording females shopping in Walmart on the night he was arrested," the report says. "Some of the files show him following females, I believe are under the age of 12 years old."

True Detective is an American show and they were in places like Louisiana. I think they also made mentions of a Fayetteville.

Yeah, so it is French. I was gonna say you'll probably find a lot of places called that in LA because in Detroit we also have a lot of places called Lafayette "street" or "ville". "Lafayette" car dealerships or whatever.

Interesting. It sounds pretty cool even though I don’t like French as a language.

Non, monsieur. :dafuckfeels:
I've always liked the sound of French and have heard it's a rather fun language to communicate in. Great grampa spoke it but never used it with any of his kids unfortunately.
