The spoon is actually one of humanity's oldest inventions, predating recorded history. Early versions of spoons date back to prehistoric times when humans used seashells or pieces of wood to scoop up food. These rudimentary tools eventually evolved into more sophisticated designs as civilizations like the Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans began crafting spoons from bone, wood, stone, and later, metal.

If we’re blaming anyone, it’s probably some genius caveman who got tired of burning his hands on soup or sticking them into something gross. So maybe not a “soy boy,” but more like an OG innovator who wanted to eat efficiently without getting his fingers covered in mammoth stew.

Sometimes (often) a smart thing sounds stupid, why do you think nerd is used in a negative sense?

probably some outcast of a hunter & gatherer tribe. while the chads, children, elderly were eating the fatty pieces and organs of the animal, the outcast was given scraps. this led to him making stew and then spoons to help his recessed jaw and small hands eat
