modern "macedonians" are LARPers. they are the most slavic motherfuckers in balkans. they're even more slavic than serbians. mainland greeks considered macedonians barbarians because macedonians were not city greeks, they were a hellenised thracian pastoral people who spoke greek.

though i may be in wrong here, as greeks called anybody who were not from their cities barbarians. for example athenians called boeotians and spartans barbarians .
