No one will "win" it will most likely be like ww1. Just long drawn out battles in which no one really wins. The world might actually be better in a few decades due to wartime technological development, better gender ratios, and weak and ineffective cultural and political systems getting weeded out. Sometimes it takes a forest fire for the forest to really grow again although it sucks for the animals caught in it.
