Why a hypercaloric diet is beneficial

Unfortunately, on this page you hear far too often what a good looksmax it is to eat less. This can sometimes be true, but can only be determined individually, and a slightly hypercaloric diet can be very good in many cases. But what exactly are the advantages of a hypercaloric diet?

-lower cortisol levels
-higher testosterone levels and increased production of other androgens
-more energy and less fatigue
-increase in hypertrophy, as calories are essential for faster protein biosynthesis


So please stop focusing too much on Leanmaxxing, because this is not a panacea and will have almost no effect if the basis is bad, i.e. undefined bones. Especially in puberty a permanent calorie deficit can have a very bad effect. A decent hypercaloric diet and Gymmaxxing can definitely have a better effect than Auschwitzmaxxing and will improve your overall wellbeing a lot.

No, I'm not saying leanmaxxing is bad, but I feel like a lot of users see a hypocaloric diet as the only dietary way to look better, which is simply not true.

It's said so because it keeps bodyfat low
But you can eat lots of protein calories over maintenance and stay lean anyways.
