Why am I darker than my twin sister?

We both had the same level of skin colour back when we were young.

Only after I turned 14 I started to get darker and darker. Because I used to play a lot of cricket in the summer without sunscreen; in fact, I have never used sunscreen in my life (and I still don't).

Can it be that I am extremely tanned?

And will it be the same skin colour as hers after I detan?

I'm darker than both of my parents but I look like them, what happened? Also played a lot of soccer in the sun when I was 14 and the color of my face never returned to it's original color, same with arms.
