Why am I recessed?

My mom is forward grown and my dad has a flat maxilla, they both have their flaws but didnt show any sign of recession

I got an expander and now I have a 8 tooth smile (not as good as my mothers natural 10 tooth but still decent) and for some reason I am RECESSED

it may be bc of my development, but surely bad sleep cant do that much

genetics. it's depressing i have a recessed chin too. noticed it too late. crying won't help, so i'm just waiting until i'm old enough to get my genioplasty

most likely it's because of your lifestyle: bad diet, bad sleep, poor posture, but maybe you're just unlucky and it's all genetics
