I'd recommend a holistic approach. You could make the same argument that someone will still be an incel if rich as their personality might still be atrocious. Self-improvement has many facets. There's no reason to not try to improve in all aspects. If all you care about is having sex with top girls, then sure, optimize for that if you think it'll make you happy.
