I live in one of the most unaffordable cities in the world and I know lots of people who are in their twenties who live at home still.

The people who moved out at 18-20 didn’t go to college and they spend all their money living cheque to cheque lmao. They will never own a home in this city. But hey at least they have a place of their own.

It is surprisingly difficult. Most people struggle to make enough money for a one bedroom place even with a full time job. But assuming they do make enough money, most places wont even let you rent unless you have a 10 year history with good credit and you make 3x the rent cost monthly and a whole bunch of other shit. You will probably have to move in with roommates, and most roommates suck ass because they talk all day about some political/social bullshit and annoy you, they dont clean, theyre loud, they dont pay rent on time or in my case, all of those things and my roommate never cleans anything in the kitchen, leaves his food out, so there are roaches everywhere.
