It seems like they use it a lot as a reference of time or something. I've been asked so many times by United stateners "what am I going to do next summer" and I dont know how to respond because I dont even know when summer is supposed to begin. Like, in my country(colombia) we just point to months or something as a reference of time, we dont use seasons like summer or winter. Just fucking lol.

May have something to do with the Crossbow Festival that americans often have in their localc ommunities in late May. its seen as an unofficial starting date for much of Summer...

hold up. this mf is from colombia ?? 💀💀💀

Because over there they actually have many different seasons

If you live in south america it feels like eternal summer with winter being identified primarily by rain and that's about it.

Yeah that sounds about right. Over here in Bogota I just can never tell when we have transitioned into a different season because it mostly always feels the same year round, except for the occasional cold-ish about halfway through the year. Cage.

Yes, why the surprise. I believe I have a rather distinctive Colombian personality that is quite apparent in my posts, but maybe you're not very familiar with Colombians.

How common is cocaine use where you live, compared to smoking weed and drinking alcohol or the use of other recreational drugs?

Not as common as the media portrays! We just have that reputation because of the cartels, the general population is just normal, we snort coke only to blow off steam when we're stressed out or to have fun. Hehe.

Sorry, what city is Bogota? I've never heard of it. Did you mean Bogotá?

I'm beginning to think this Columbia thing is a LARP. We all know you're from Essex. Time to close up shop. Boys, get him.

That is how often per week for the average employed person with a stable income (no idea if that's even a thing in Colombia tbh)? Does everyone use it or is it reserved to a particular age group or social class?

Very offensive.

Seems like it's mostly post prime men that resort to excessive use of cocaine as a cope, the younger population is more into alcohol.

I didn't mean to offend you or your country, but a lot of South/Latin American countries are struggling economically afaik. No idea what the situation in Colombia is, compared to, say, Haiti.

What do you mean by 'post prime'? Also, what's the cost of coke over there in US dollars?

Bro is from Columbia. Unironically rope.

I actually don't know where Iowa is

Summer in US is warm/hot. Even Alaska. Great time for Americans to go to the beach, lake, river, pool. School is out for 3 months. Mountain and northern areas, which are often cold or snowbound, now are open. Resort areas are fully opened & staffed. after Summer, many begin to wind down. Many fairs & festivals take place.

I spent s week in Iowa in 2019. I enjoyed it. Nice towns like Des Moines & Dubuque. Pleasant countryside with rolling hills & woods. Good food. The beer was just meh though.

I lived in the United states for 2 years with my uncle from age 18 to 20 in the state of Arkansas and people wouldn't shut up about summer, what they're planning on doing in the summer etc. They even have a movie called "I know what you did last summer".

I lived in the United states for 2 years with my uncle from age 18 to 20 in the state of Arkansas and people wouldn't shut up about summer, what they're planning on doing in the summer etc. They even have a movie called "I know what you did last summer".
Once upon a summer in serene Arkansas, there resided a straight-laced gentleman named Leonardo. From the sprightly age of 18 to 20, he shared a snug shelter with his spry uncle, Samuel. Leonardo possessed a singular fascination with sensational model trains, their splendidly small scale and scenic settings capturing his soul.

Leonardo's understanding uncle, Samuel, swiftly sensed his nephew's strong ardor for these miniature marvels. Synchronizing their shared zeal, they spent countless sunlit hours sketching, sculpting, and staging the most stunning train scapes. Samuel's sage guidance stoked Leonardo's creative spark, sculpting their special bond through the whimsical world of trains.

Summer's scorching sunbeams held a special sway over Leonardo's heart. When the season arrived, discussions of sun-drenched days and starry nights unfailingly surfaced. Together, they charted their course for seasonal sojourns to nearby showcases and summits, where spectacular samples of scale models showcased their superiority.

As the sultry season dawned, Leonardo and Samuel ventured southward, savoring splendid stops in small towns. Spiritedly seeking new steam-driven treasures, they scoured swap meets, scouring for scarce sets and sought-after spares. Seizing each serendipitous sale, their shared excitement grew like wildfire, sparking spirited stories of successful searches from summers past.

Set amidst their train-centric travels, Leonardo and Samuel reveled in conversations steeped in steam locomotives, stunning scenery, and skilled craftsmanship. Stories of storied railways, storied engineers, and sun-soaked summer excursions flowed effortlessly. Their shared language of locomotives wove a tapestry of timeless memories, solidifying their special bond as uncle and nephew.

But summer wasn't solely about trains for Leonardo and Samuel. Arkansas, with its sprawling landscapes and shimmering streams, provided its own sanctuary during the season. Striding through sunlit fields, they soaked in the scent of wildflowers, their senses seduced by the songs of soaring birds. Serenaded by nature's symphony, they savored solace in serene seclusion.

As the sands of time slowly shifted, Leonardo's stint living with his beloved uncle drew to a close. The summer before his 21st birthday marked the final chapter of their shared story. Sadness settled in, but the memories forged during those sun-soaked summers would remain eternally sacred.

Leonardo's affinity for model trains, stoked by Samuel's sage mentorship, carried him forward into the vast unknown. His heart yearned for new summertime adventures, but the lessons learned and the love shared during those spirited seasons would forever shape his path. The spirit of summer, intertwined with the symphony of model trains, would guide him towards a future teeming with joy, serenity, and countless shared stories yet to be told.

Should've included the time my uncle and I went to a sauna, stripped naked and I accidentally sat on his lap because i couldn't see anything through all the steam. Overall cool story bro.

In the realm of boundless possibilities, where dreams intertwined with reality, Leonardo embarked on a mystical journey alongside his enigmatic uncle, Samuel. Their destination? A sanctuary of pure rejuvenation, a temple of steam and serenity known as the Sauna of Whispers.

As they entered the sauna's ethereal domain, a sublime energy pulsed through the air, electrifying their senses. Leonardo felt his heart beat in harmony with the universe itself, his spirit aflame with anticipation for the transformative encounter awaiting them.

Within the sanctuary, walls adorned with ancient symbols seemed to pulsate with a luminescent aura, whispering forgotten secrets to those who dared to listen. Leonardo's eyes widened, captivated by the mesmerizing dance of light and shadow, as if the very fabric of existence was converging in this sacred space.

Uncle Samuel, his eyes carrying the wisdom of ages, guided Leonardo deeper into the heart of the sauna, venturing to a place not even thickneckedslayer had dared to go before. Each step resonated with mystical vibrations, connecting Leonardo's soul to the profound energies swirling around him. The air grew warmer, thick with an otherworldly mist that caressed their skin, as if urging them to surrender to the sauna's enigmatic embrace.

They arrived at the threshold of the sacred steam chamber, its entrance shimmering with an otherworldly luminescence. The whispers of the cosmos grew louder, their celestial symphony weaving a tapestry of anticipation. Leonardo closed his eyes, his senses attuned to the mystical currents flowing through the air.

As the thickneckedslayer-labeled door swung open, a blinding brilliance engulfed the chamber. A surge of radiant heat washed over Leonardo, engulfing him in an ecstatic embrace. His spirit soared on invisible wings as the steam transformed into swirling celestial hues, each wispy tendril carrying cosmic secrets within its ethereal core.

In this heightened state, Leonardo's perception transcended the confines of his mortal form. He saw visions of ancient civilizations rising and falling, constellations colliding in celestial dances, and the ebb and flow of life throughout the cosmos. It was a glimpse into the tapestry of existence, woven with threads of unimaginable beauty and cataclysmic forces.

But as Leonardo reveled in this ethereal ecstasy, a sudden shift shook the very fabric of the sauna's enchantment cast upon it by thickneckedslayer. The walls trembled, mosaics cracking under the strain of cosmic turbulence. The sanctuary that had once exuded serenity now crackled with an ominous energy, its celestial beauty marred by the impending catastrophe.

Uncle Samuel's eyes widened, his wisdom now tinged with sorrow. "We have awakened forces beyond our control, Leonardo," he whispered, his voice a mere echo amidst the impending chaos.

Suddenly, the walls erupted with cosmic energy, tendrils of raw power snaking through the air. The sauna quaked as the very essence of creation trembled, threatening to unravel the tapestry of existence. Leonardo and his uncle clung to each other, their spirits entwined in a desperate prayer for salvation.

In a blinding flash, the sauna imploded, folding in upon itself as reality ruptured. Leonardo and Samuel were torn asunder, their souls scattered across the cosmos, forever adrift in the eternal void.

And so, the Sauna of Whispers became a cosmic monument, a cataclysmic reminder of the perils that lie hidden within ecstatic and mystical realms. Its destruction served as a haunting testament to the boundless power that dwells in the very fabric of existence, forever etching Leonardo's name into the annals of cosmic history.

Now, Leonardo's fragmented spirit roams the celestial expanse, a celestial wanderer forever marked by the catastrophic consequences of a fateful journey to the sauna. His story, a cautionary tale whispered through the cosmic winds, serves as a reminder of thickneckedslayer.
