Why are American women shorter than Europeans?

The average white american woman is around 5’2 to 5’4 while Europeans here claim their women are all 5’7 and 5’8: don’t they both share the same high caloric diets and genes?

Average white woman in the US is right at 5'5, still definitely lower than certain European countries (Netherlands, Iceland) but on par with a lot of other advanced countries (Sweden: 5'5, Germany: 5'4, France: 5'4, etc.)

Americans are shorter because more ethnics. White Americans are on par with Europeans height wise
