I feel like modern-day doctors just promote antibiotics at any possibility.
media and health pages keep pushing antibiotics like theyre multivitamins...
I confronted my biology teacher after class asking him what he thinks about it
and he straight up said he had no idea antibiotics can negatively affect your health. That alone says a lot.
I have sadly taken them once, not by choice though.
I was really young and my parents decided for me (ear infection)
and guess what: i developed a dust allergy, pork allergy and a cat allergy and had to almost sell my beloved cat
why is it still controversal that they fuck up your guts microbiome long term?
Its not some random conspiracy theory, right?
they mess with your immune system, especially with children and lead to issues like obesity or autoimmune problems(allergies), and just overall weaker health
And people dont talk enough about how this can affect growth and development too. When your gut is messed up, you cant absorb nutrients properly and therefore rape yourself
, your hormones, energy levels and metabolism
"Antibiotic use during infancy induces imbalances in gut microbiota, called dysbiosis. The gut microbiome’s responses to antibiotics and its potential link to disease development are especially complex to study in the changing infant gut" -https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC5555213/#:~:text=Antibiotic%20use%20during%20infancy%20induces,in%20the%20changing%20infant%20gut.
it can even lead to obesity:
pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov
Imagine taking a developing body and wiping out its internal ecosystem
- It can blunt physical growth
- mess with mental development
and leave you more dependent on meds later.
I get it, they save lives, but why ignore the downsides?
my theory is that they want to create lifetime customers and patients,
keep your health fragile so you rely on them forever. (mr. obvious)
but how are people dumb enough not to inform themselves about this?

it can even lead to obesity:

Association Between Early-Life Exposure to Antibiotics and Development of Child Obesity: Population-Based Study in Italy - PubMed
The results from this large population-based study support the association between early exposure to antibiotics and an increased risk of childhood obesity. This association becomes progressively stronger with both increasing numbers of antibiotic prescriptions and younger age at the time of the...
