Why are asian people fascinated by large eyes?

From my experiences, especially women. Most people here want hunter looking eyes, but asian people like large eyes? Isn't the beauty standard universal? Maybe I'm missing something here.

no bro asians mostly have very small eyes and ideal is kinda larger than their so thats why.

Probably because they live on one end of the extreme so they idealize being on the opposite end
