why are babyfacers so popular

Today I was at the shopping mall and saw this one guy with pear face looking structure, babyface phenotype, curly hair and 188cm. Obviously he was there with his girlfriend HTB.
Why is this phenotype and face structure so popular recently? Back in the times people used to have square or rectangular faces but now things have changed
