Why are Chinese Mainlanders facially more robust than Taiwanese/Singaporeans/Overseas Chinese?

Does being born in Mainland China automatically make you robust? Many Mainlanders, especially millenial Mainlanders have this big square face + wide cheekbones while Chinese diaspora have smaller jaws, weaker chins and smaller faces. Why is this? Does being richer make you more gracile?
