Why are dentists and orthodontists so retarded

I've been to multiple orthodontists, and despite my side profile being clearly recessed, they act as if its fine (when any person who isnt fucking blind and ignorant can see that its not)
Also my pallete is narrow and they will still say its okay for some fuckass reason ( 6 tooth smile is a narrow pallete surely?)

Are they being purposely ignorant or are they just geniunely retarded
Im from england, all orthodontists/dentists iv visited are based in england
