Why are Eastern Europeans so obsessed with peasant culture?

They're obsessed with peasant culture in see it as a symbol of national pride, but it's ironic because they don't actually want to live in a village doing hard labor in fields. They live in cities and prefer to work in offices. They're just larping as medieval peasants. I could only take them seriously if they go actually live on a farm and live a traditional peasant lifestyle instead of just larping in costumes.

That's called "delayed development". They're still stuck on the feudal lifestyle, like Poles.

Their way of thinking matters, too. Western Europeans are more "advanced", considering their average lifestyle.
