The terminology evolved organically, not as part of an organized plan. The terms Stacy and Betty predated PSL, and were just adopted by PSL. The name Chad to described the Alpha male was adopted early in PSL. I do not think it predated PSL, but not certain. There was no name to described an average male pre PSL, and non was every adopted by PSL, thus by default we are left with phase 'normie' to describe an average male.
