Basically you can say

"Lehrer" (a group of male teachers)

or

"Lehrerinnen" (a group of female teachers)

But if you talk about a group of teachers where the gender is mixxed/irrelevant you always use the masculine form "Lehrer", but you mean a group where the gender is irrelevant/both genders.

But now feminists want to change it to "Lehrer*Innen" with this retarded star in the middle and a pause when speaking this. This completly destroys the german grammer and makes the language ugly as fuck.

My country has a similar problem, words have both masculine/feminine versions so they want to make a gender neutral language that would "include all and make everyone safe"
