Even though India/Bangladesh/Pakistan are in a slightly above-average dysgenic pattern, I don’t think they’re far off from the typical third-world standard.The issue of finding Indians repulsive seems to be more cultural than related to appearance. What caused this?

A mix of both poor genes + social conditioning . Pewdiepie started the whole bobs and vagene trend , this exploded into a plethora of tiktoks and insta reels all filled with racial "jokes" towards Indians. It instantiated itself as a meme. Racism towards Indians became normalised and socially accepted even by liberals unlike with Blacks , where you would be outcast for saying anything negative about them. I have had Tinder matches state "please tell me you aren't Indian" proving it is not purely just genes.

When you think of a race , you think of the average person from that race. The average Jeet is nerdy , short and recessed. The average Northern European is tall , athletic and closer to average looking. The beauty standard is Eurocentric , for both men and women , even the attractive ethnics are either mixed and/or have Eurocentric features. You can date your looksmatch of your own pheno for now in the west , an ever decreasing probability , but will always have to date down outside your race.
