Majority of Indian parents want their kids to either be a doctor or an engineer.
Sone individuals can't even pick their own paths because of being forced/pressurized to become a doctor/engineer.
Don't Indian parents want their kids to take up diverse jobs and professions?
When will they realise that not everybody wants to become a doctor.
There's so many options to choose from which will earn you equal or more amount of money as a doctor.
Sure, being a doctor will bring you prestige but if majority of population become doctors then what about other professions??
Just because they couldn't fulfill their own aspirations, they tell their children to complete their desire.
Those who are brave and bold enough, set their own goals by denying their parents' personal aim and those who remain silent and don't complain about it,later end up working in a profession that they never really aspired for....

Curries in general are very risk averse people. Yoloing your life on some useless degree in hopes of making it big is reserved for rich kids. When you dont have much money and education is your only way out. Engineering and medicine are the only viable ways of making it out in third world. All other options are much harder to break through and require connections and lots of luck. It is not a bad advice. :ogre:

Being a Doctor is good if you have first gen doctor parents. Otherwise you'll slave away for someone else your entire life to build a reputation

Yes. First world countries have neet ahd other safety nets but in general it is not a bad philosophy to live your life with. There's a reason why Indians are among the highest earning ethnicities in the U.S

Only Indians and Chinese have this grindmaxxing mentality. Meanwhile other races pick up a easy degree and go through 4 years of college living life and having a mediocre wageslaving job.
Tech is either Indian Chinese or Russian guys.
